Always wanted to be a teacher? Consider this course! Early Childhood Education provides exploration for students selecting careers working with young children such as teaching, child care services, psychology, and social services. The first year includes the study of children and how they learn, research of preschool activities, making teaching activities and developing lesson plans to teach the preschool children at the FHS Preschool. Competencies are learned through positive interaction with children and in teaching art, language, math, social skills, music and fitness. Because students will be working with children in the preschool, they must provide inoculation documentation including Hepatitis B vaccination and have a *TB test done prior to the first day of class. (*TB test can be obtained at the county health department with little or no fee. Appointments should be made)
