6th Grade Mall of Life
March 05, 2009
This program is a game of life. It is a life skill simulation where the students actively take part in making real world adult decisions. It provides information to prepare a young person to make realistic choices to achieve a successful future. It offers a glimpse into the realities of an occupation, salaries, and the obligations of daily life. It is important in these middle school years to provide an opportunity for the students to tap into and explore their current career interests and learn more about themselves in a positive environment. This game teaches valuable life skills such as problem solving, decision making, goal setting, responsible behavior and communication. The student will also learn to develop appropriate conflict resolution skills, will share ideas and work through group decision making processes.
