As we wrap up the school year, I’d like to take a moment to recognize a few students in the Careers In Business program for their achievements.

This month we are focusing on soft skills such as resumes, job applications, interviewing skills, and a lot of job shadowing in addition to Microsoft Word and the stock market game. It’s a busy, busy time!
CIB and I have been so blessed to have an amazing group of second year students who have been working in year-long internships and doing a fantastic job. I will miss their humor and silliness that always makes me laugh…even when I don’t want to! Their accomplishments this last year have been numerous. The skills they’ve acquired will serve them well for years. Graduating students…please stay in touch and let me know how you’re doing!
Also exciting is that next year all six of the juniors who have completed year one are returning for year two and their own internship. I told them they must be a glutton for punishment if they decided to return. ☺ I can’t wait to see where they will intern; I’m so excited for them!
Lastly, thank you to all of the parents for allowing me to teach your son/daughter. It has been an honor to get to know them and watch them grow during the last 1-2 years. It is so very rewarding for me and one of the many reasons I love what I do. Thank you and have a wonderful and safe summer!
