HOYA 1 students spent a lot of time in the skills lab learning how to feed residents, trying pureed food and thickened liquids, nail care including painting nails, weight and height measurements, shaving each other, making beds, and giving a full bed bath. The next skills to be learned will be taking vitals, including measuring blood pressure, and learning about proper nutrition.
