Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe students started clinicals 2 weeks ago in local long term care facilities and in FHN this weekend. FHN is a new clinical site this year. There are 3 job shadow dates left, with a local dentist being added to the rotation. The students also just got CPR certified in healthcare provider BLS through the American Heart Association. February students of the month for problem solving are Elizabeth Dinderman, Taytum Mullen, Michael Tillman, and Jaidon Hastings. Our guest speakers have included FHN emergency preparedness coordinator Doug Toepfer to discuss emergency services, EMT and paramedic roles. FHN pastoral care Sean Huguenin spoke on death and dying. Our next units will cover end of life, alzheimers and dementia, and provider self care.
